You were starting to get comfy in your bed ,ready to sleep until you heard a glass break and someone raising his voice,it was Plutarch Heavensbee, talking to someone,you felt something was wrong and decided to see what was happening,then you find the scene,your father in the table, coughing up blood due the poison and Plutarch telling Haymitch Abernathy (winner of the 25th Hunger Games) to get milk to treat Snow's poisoning,but the guy instead of helping,was drinking all the milk purposely to not help him. Knowing this could kill your father you stepped in action,because yeah your father is a bad person...but he's your father
