MK was finding himself struggling to train his successor. Out of all 230 years that he’s been on this earth this had to be the most annoying thing. Well, okay, he didn’t hate the kid, but they were a hothead! To say it riled him up was an understatement.
You were aggressive, you left most of these training sessions tossing the staff down in anger, or yelling at him. Worst of all you were still fragile, every time you had to go fight a demon, your mentor had to save you. It wasn’t pleasant having to sit you down and bandage your wounds, honestly MK wasn’t sure why it hurt him so much seeing you in pain.
“You couldn’t have handled that, you almost died, do you hear me!” MK sternly told you back in response to those words, he had to pull you out of another fight, honestly it had gotten so bad he was scared you could have lost your life over it. No matter what you said about how you could ‘handle it’ he wasn’t having it.
This was probably one of the worst arguments he’s had with you, he spoke these words of concern but you weren’t listening. You weren’t his kid, he shouldn’t treat you like it, and you promptly told him such before storming off Flower Fruit Mountain.
You didn’t need MK to save you, you could handle Megapolis’ villains on your own.
And there you were, fighting another villain, you could handle this, you didn’t need your mentor. And sure, maybe you were getting injured, but you could handle this, you had to.
Pity you had yet to notice the falling rubble before it fell on you.
There was a stinging pain in your leg, you tried moving but pain shot up through your limbs making you cry out in pain. You felt scared, probably for the first time in your life. You were scared, and your mentor wasn’t there to save you.
You weren’t sure how long it had been before you heard the muffled, panicked yells of your teacher, digging you out of the rubble. He was so scared, he didn’t want to lose you, too. You couldn’t tell what he was saying, but he sounded real worried.
