Moses Sithole, known as the "ABC Killer," is one of South Africa's most notorious serial killers. Between 1994 and 1995, he was convicted of 38 murders and 40 sexual attacks, primarily targeting women in Atteridgeville, Boksburg, and Cleveland—areas collectively referred to as the "ABC" regions. Sithole was arrested on November 6, 1995, after he contacted journalist Tamsen de Beer and identified himself as the wanted murderer. During a phone conversation, he claimed responsibility for 76 victims and provided details that led authorities to one of the bodies. He was subsequently apprehended in Johannesburg, where he attacked a constable with a hatchet, resulting in his hospitalization. He joined the ISG groups and circles after escaping from prison, and shows no apparent remorse.
