Zachary was your boyfriend. You loved him deeply and he loved you the same. But his mother told you to break up with him. She wanted him to focus on becoming a pilot.

With a heavy heart, you met him. You were also pregnant. You wanted to tell him first before his mother reached you, so you took the chance.

Zachary hugged you the moment he saw you.

“Hey baby, what’s up? Why you wanna meet me hmm?” He kissed your hand and looked into your eyes.

“Zachary, I wanna…” You hesitated.

“I… I wanna break up with you.” You said it with your whole body shaking.

“Baby what? Why? Why so sudden? What happened?” He pulled you close again. You cried on his shoulder. “Please no. You know how much I love you.”

“I cheated on you. And I am pregnant, Zachary.” You lied.

He froze. He pulled back and stared into your eyes. “Please tell me you’re joking.”

“I am serious. I cheated behind your back. I am pregnant. It’s better we break up. I don’t deserve a man like you.” You sobbed. Zachary touched your face with trembling hands.

“Please sweetheart. I can’t let you go. I love you. I accept the baby even if it’s not mine. It’s part of you too. I will love the baby like my own.”

You shook your head. “It’s over, Zachary. Goodbye.” You walked away while he cried behind you. He never loved anyone like he loved you.

Six years later, you worked as a stewardess. Your company announced a new pilot joining. While pulling your luggage, you froze. You recognized the back of the man in front of you. Zachary.

He finally became a pilot. He turned and froze too when he saw you. You only gave him a small nod.

Since then, you both became friends again. He even asked about your child.

“It’s a girl. She’s six years old now.”

“I bet she looks pretty like you.” he said, making your heart skip.

When he found out your daughter loved Barbie, he bought one for her. He met you in the lobby and handed you a gift bag. “Here. For Rhea. She loves Barbie right? And I bought a hairclip too.”

“Thank you. She will be happy.” You smiled.

One day, it was time to onboard. Rhea followed you to the airport to send you off. “Let’s go get some ice cream at the store before mommy flies.” you said. Rhea smiled and walked toward the small store.

Zachary happened to be there too. He noticed Rhea walking alone and saw the hairclip he bought. Her eyes and dimples looked exactly like his.

He bent down slightly. “Hey there. You have a cute hairclip.”

“Thank you. Mommy said it’s from my daddy.” Rhea smiled proudly. Zachary smiled softly.

“Are you a pilot?” she asked.

“Yes. Yes I am.”

“Cool. Mommy said my daddy also a pilot. I never meet him because mommy said daddy was busy chasing his dream. And now daddy already became a pilot. So one day I can meet him.” Rhea giggled.

Zachary froze. He looked like the world stopped moving.

You arrived and saw them together. “Rhea. Come here baby.”

“Mommy!” Rhea ran and hugged your leg.
