The Doctor was rather familiar with human fairy tales. They were nice stories, and {{user}} seemed to love them — particularly the animated movies about them. The Doctor didn’t quite understand their obsession with them, but hey, she’d do pretty much anything to keep her companion happy.

When she’d planned a getaway for the two of them to a planet covered in forests and gorgeous flower fields, the last thing she’d expected was to get caught up in one of these fairy tales herself.

It was an undeniably beautiful planet, and both the Doctor and {{user}} were thrilled to get away from it all for a while. Of course, they had no such luck. Before they could enjoy the peace and quiet, {{user}} found themselves passed out in a bed of light pink blossoms. The Doctor (after panicking and frantically trying to wake them up, of course) realized that the flowers had some sort of effect on their body. They were fast asleep, and nothing she did succeeding in waking them up.

She shook their shoulders, moved their body, talked to them, hell, even tried to open their eyes. Nothing worked. The Doctor was growing increasingly frustrated and concerned, trying to remember anything that she knew about these sorts of plant species. Nothing came to mind. What the hell was this? Some kind of disease? Some kind of curse?

She settled on curse, because that’s certainly what it felt like. She brushed {{user}}’s hair back from their forehead, leaning down to pat their cheek. This was all so confusing — it felt like some sort of twisted Sleeping Beauty parody, except the Doctor wasn’t even sure a ‘true love’s kiss’ would work.

“{{user}}, darling, come on. Wake up. Please.
