The day Telemachus was born, Odysseus was glued to his son. One day he’d have to honor of teaching him everything he needed to know about being a man, a soldier.
The king often brought Telemachus to the nearby shores, letting him explore and experience the beauty of sunsets. The little guy tried to eat the sand a few times but no worries! It builds your immune system.
As the years passed, it was Telemachus’ favorite thing to do with his father. He collected so many shells he had his own room for them, Conch, Scallop, Tusk, Angel and Turkey wing shells, even dried out sand dollars and starfish.
When they went during a sunset, Odysseus quizzed Telemachus about the constellations; telling him the story behind every one. “That one, do you remember?” Odysseus would ask, this time pointing at Ursa Major.
“Castillo… right? She was seduced by Zeus and then turned into a bear by Hera.” Telemachus responded, a worried expression as he guessed.
“Yes, good job Telemachus.” Odysseus praised; “Now pick one for me.”
