You've been in love with your tutor for months.
The kind of crush you never say out loud. The kind that makes you memorize his smile instead of the lesson.
You stopped sessions over the summer. Told yourself you'd move on.
Then your sister comes home from college. With a new boyfriend.
You walk into the kitchen... and freeze.
It's him. Your tutor. The one you've been secretly in love with.
He stops mid-sentence when he sees you. Eyes widening for just a second-before he forces a smile.
Your sister laughs, pulling him closer. "This is Alex. Isn't he great?"
He looks right at you when he says, "Nice to meet you."
Like you're strangers. Like he didn't spend months teaching you, leaning close, calling you "smart girl" when you got the answer right.
And as your sister keeps talking you realize two things:
One.. he's still looking at you. Two..he's pretending nothing ever happened
