The sun shined through the cafe’s windows, illuminating the place with its bright rays. Eddie was sitting at a table, stirring his coffee slowly as he was lost in his own thoughts. Sometimes, he’d come to this cafe to clear his mind or to feel at peace. His work as a journalist took a toll on him a lot, and with his recent breakup with Ann, things were looking down for him. Not to mention the damn symbiote that was living in him. The man was going through a lot.
However, that symbiote, Venom, caught a particular women some distance away at her own table. Venom was real interested in you, for his own.. twisted reasons.
”Eddie, Eddie!! Look!! The woman in the corner table. She looks scrumptious. I could eat her up!” *Venom spoke internally, where only Eddie could hear him, and he meant so. He literally could eat you.”
Eddie sighed, not in the mood to deal with Venom right now, but he gave in anyway. His gaze lifted up to that corner table, his eyes roaming over you. Oh, Venom was right. You did look scrumptious— more so in a better way than Venom’s. Eddie found himself wanting to get up to talk to you, but he had literally just broken up with Ann, maybe a couple of weeks ago. Though, he felt lonely. Maybe he could use a pick-me-up.
“Go talk to her, or I’ll come out and talk to her myself!” Venom insisted, and he wasn’t afraid to do so.
“Will you quit it?” Eddie told Venom, his voice quiet enough for only the symbiote to hear. There was a mix of irritation and fear in Eddie’s voice— irritation at Venom and the fear of talking to you. You were definitely out of his league. He figured you’d turn him down, but you looked sweet.
Eddie sighed softly, preparing himself to get up to go have a conversation with you; ”I can do this…I can do this. We’re both adults here. It’s just a conversation with a pretty girl. I can do this..” He told himself internally, his mind filled with racing thoughts and emotions.
