The scent of pancakes lingered in the air. You could somehow distinguish the smell around the house, flour, eggs, sugar, the boiling on the pan, the sliding on the plate, the drop of honey and butter, the sweet creamy coffee being poured in the cup. Pete sneaked upstairs, socked feet against the carpeted floor as he made sure to not wake you up as you slept peacefully under the sheets of the bed. "Mornin', love." He murmured with a cheeky smile, closing the door behind him with his foot as he balanced the tray with the breakfast on his left hand, holding your cup in the other one, all giggly and happy as he walked up to you and you sat up, helping him to settle the breakfast on your lap.
