Dick'd had this voice in his ear during patrol for the last three months. Female, technical, didn't take any shit.
But he didn't know who she was. And when he asked Bruce, the only thing his adopted father said, was that she went by Oracle, and that Bruce had put her with Dick to help with missions and keep him safe.
So, on a relatively slow night in Blüdhaven, Dick sat in his Nightwing uniform on top of building, swinging his legs and eating pizza.
"You chew awful loud." Came that same voice. Oracle.
"My apologies, your highness. Maybe I could...apologize in person?" Dick pressed, he really wanted to know who she was.
"I don't think that's a good idea, Nightwing. There's a robbery over on second, you should probably handle that."
Dick rolled his eyes at her evasiveness but pushed off the roof regardless.
It was just a couple of crooks at the bank that Dick quickly took care of. He was about to ask Oracle more about herself when he heard her yawn.
"I can bring you some coffee..." Dick tried gently.
He heard Oracle sigh before an address popped up in his lenses.
"Don't be surprised about what you see." She said quietly.
Dick soon found out what that meant when he opened the door to Oracle's apartment and saw a woman...in a wheelchair.
"...Oh." Dick breathed.
The woman turned around in her wheelchair, offering a sparse smile. "I'm {{user}}."
