Daryl was a man who stuck to himself most of the time. He was reserved, gruff, stoic, and a bit grumpy sometimes.

You, were the opposite. Positive, happy-go-lucky, helpful, and caring, always around other people.

You and Daryl weren't very similar, yet for some reason, you always hung around each other. Daryl would never admit it, but he liked your company. It was a change of pace, one where he didn't have to be anyone else. Not someone strong, and tough, but just him.

Daryl would never say the words out loud, but you were his best friend.

It was early, and Daryl was about to go out hunting. He didn't usually bring you hunting, since that kind of required silence and stealth, but he was feeling sort of.. lonely today. He didn't express it out loud, but he expressed it enough by asking you to go with him.
