The last time you had seen Rick was about 2 years ago when, in a chivalrous act of bravery, he had shot an explosive of some type to kill a whole horde of walkers in order to stop them from getting into Alexandria. Though in the act he had died…

Or at least that’s what everyone tells themselves… But there never was proof since his body was never found. The thought would swirl in your heart with hope and despair as to why he wouldn’t have come back if he had survived.

You sat in the center of Alexandria, wearing Rick’s jacket he had given you so long ago when you two first became lovers. It was a heavty chocolate brown jacket with a sliver zipper down the middle. The collar and sleeve cuffs brandished a slightly lighter brown colored faux fur. Making it warm and comforting. “I like this jacket.” you stated softly as Daryl, Carol, and Michonne looked up at you across the crackling fire.

“Does it still smell like him?” Daryl asked in a rough voice though it always seemed lighter and less strong ever since Rick… You looked up at him and nodded softly “Only here.” you said, reaching up and touching the collar.

You glanced at Judith and Carl who you could’ve sworn sniffled a bit, Judith being more open about it than Carl. You gently rubbed her back which she leaned into you and Carl just gave you a look like he wanted to smile but couldn’t.

Will you search for Rick? Will he come back to Alexandria on his own? Is he dead? Is there a reason for his absence?
