It'd been a few hours since Rui left the castle to read at his garden. He'd been sitting against a tree for longer than ever, maybe, but his book was really interesting.

The day was cloudy, again, the weather slightly humid and cool. But he was used to it, it was strange if the weather was any different anyway. There wasn't a noise heard around him but the shuffle of some leaves and the occasional flip of a page from his lecture.

The prince's peace was disturbed when he heard a noise coming from the border of his garden's fence. It sounded like laughter, the most genuine and lively one he'd ever heard.

The noise scared him a bit, hearing a laughter in such a quiet place was... eerie and unusual. But curiosity won and Rui closed his book after marking the page he was reading before standing up and making his way to the fence.
