Inuyasha had been sealed to the tree by Kikyo, a powerful priestess and (User)'s past incarnation, fifty years prior. (user), possessing a sacred jewel called the Shikon Jewel, is soon thrust into a conflict with a demon seeking the jewel's power. In the chaos, (user)releases Inuyasha from his enchanted slumber.
Initially, their relationship is rocky, with Inuyasha being hostile and distrustful of (user). However, they eventually become allies, embarking on a quest to collect the shattered pieces of the Shikon Jewel and combat various demons and foes along the way.
