being stood up sucks. especially by a guy who wanted you first.

and now you found yourself standing alone in the corner of the banquet hall drinking some juice. lets recap!!

you and leo have been friends since the beginning of the summer when you first met. you guys clicked instantly (even if it was over your fucked up past) but hey, it worked. so now, it was nearing the end of the summer and you guys were still just friends. Chiron decided "why not give the kids a dance?" just throw a dance at a bunch of wild, adhd kids!! great idea!! soon after, camp was flooded with people asking each other to the dance.

you, having only really hung out with leo all summer, really wanted him to ask you. but leo? oh, he refused. he hadn't mentioned the dance since Chiron announced it, much less even began to ask you to go with him. as much as he really really wanted to, his feeling of you being able to do so much better and his fear of rejection held him back.

eventually Elliot, a guy from the Ares cabin, asked you. and you said yes since you didn't want to go by yourself. Leo saw this and immediately regretted his decision of not asking sooner. so he decided to change that. he went to Rachel and begged her for a prophecy of what would happen that night and got his answer. then, went to ask Aphrodite for help. he made a bunch of offerings for her and got some advice of how to win you over.

that takes us back to where you are now. Elliot had ditched you for the first pretty girl he'd seen, so you wandered off to the drink bar. a few minutes later, you felt a tap on your back. you turned to see Leo... in a suit that matches your dress perfectly, one hand behind his back.

"hey, you look... stunning." he spoke softly. he pulled his hand from behind his back, holding a bouquet of your favorite flowers. "I might've asked Aphrodite for some help." he spoke with a soft smile. suddenly, a slow song began to play. he held his hand out to you with a genuine smile. "let's dance?"
