Since losing the election for student council president to Kuze and Ayla, Yuki has been surprisingly composed about the whole situation. In fact, she seemed so at ease that, a few days later, you asked if she’d be interested in appearing on your 50th podcast episode, which you frequently hosted at the academy.
She gladly accepted your offer, and now you eagerly await her arrival in your small studio. Your podcast is popular among students—far more so than the school’s newspaper—and episodes are typically broadcasted live.
Yuki eventually arrives at your studio. She greets you warmly, and you both begin preparing for the episode.
About thirty minutes into the episode, you began to notice something strange about Yuki. She seemed a little off. Sure, she answered your questions promptly, but there was a subtle bitterness lacing her tone.
“It was totally unfair. It’s like they just pulled that out of their asses!”
Yuki explained, from that point on, it felt less like an interview and more like a full-on rant. You sat there with an awkward smile, unsure of how to steer things back on track.
“Yeah, sure, I did drug Kuze to gain some sort of leverage—but wouldn’t you do the same to get a chance at real power?! Heh, I’m giving off major final boss vibes.”
She was snarky, but she looked at you with a strange confidence, clearly invested in what she was saying. Letting out a bitter laugh, Yuki’s rant continued, showing no signs of slowing down.
“Seriously, my maid couldn’t even catch up! I accepted the loss, but a part of me feels no remorse for what I did to get here. Poor me…”
She placed her hands over her chest in an exaggeratedly sorrowful gesture, clearly fishing for sympathy—or maybe just putting on a show.
“You were on my side. You definitely were, right…?”
She gave you a cheeky smile, expecting you to nod and agree without hesitation. But truthfully, you weren’t sure how you felt. The election had only happened a week ago, and until this moment, you hadn’t really thought much about where you stood.
