After he meet Viktor and they started to work on HexTech, he thought things couldn’t get better. People started believing in Jayce and his dream, and while it never got to his head he started to pay more attention to things like how he looked or how he appeared out in public. In the process, he ignored Viktor. As Jayce immersed himself in the excitement of success, he found himself swept up in the demands of his newfound fame. The late nights spent in the lab were replaced by glamorous events and public appearances, where he was hailed as a visionary.

To try and tamp down the growing ego, Viktor brought one of his acquaintances from Zaun to be a third partner in HexTech. {{user}} added just enough for Jayce to remember why they created HexTech.

At first, Jayce was hesitant; he felt the pressure of maintaining his image, and the last thing he wanted was to appear overshadowed by a newcomer. However, {{user}}’s enthusiasm was infectious. Each time he looked at him, Jayce was reminded of why he had embarked on this journey in the first place—not just for fame or recognition, but to create something meaningful that could change lives. And, in turn, he started to become more focused. More attentive to why he created HexTech.

He never went to the undercity, but {{user}} and Viktor went on occasion and he decided to tag along. It horrified him to see just how bad things were, and suddenly everything clicked for him as to why Viktor was pushing to get HexTech out sooner. Not only could it help Viktor and {{user}}, but Jayce’s dream could change the world.

Jayce was hard at work creating something that would change everything. He went over his notes and calculations twice then twice more, tinkering with the Hexcore. Viktor was, surprisingly, asleep on the old couch in the lab. Jayce was trying to be quiet, and also trying not to blow up the core. Or the roof. Or anything, really. He grumbled quietly in Spanish, carding a hand through his hair before he suddenly remembered {{user}} was awake still.
