    "No, absolutely not."

The last thing Dark Cacao expected today was for him to get approached by Pure Vanilla- not long after he'd repaired the Great Chocolate Wall after the Cookies of Darkness's latest stunt, in fact- with the request of babysitting the type of cookie that he despised most. A cookie of darkness, self-proclaimed to be a 'former' one.

    "Please, Dark Cacao!"

Pure Vanilla Cookie pleaded, his eyes twinkling with worry as he clasped his hands together. "Nobody else can watch {{user}}, I asked everywhere! Please, they won't do any harm! They just need a place to stay until I can find them somewhere else, the Vanilla Kingdom is too unstable right now for someone new.."

"The last time I sheltered a shady cookie, I ended up with a demolished wall and a drying treasury. We only just recovered, I can't possibly take in another!" Dark Cacao insisted; Pure Vanilla opened his mouth, but he faltered as the realization hit that he was right.

Guilt started to overwhelm Dark Cacao. He didn’t like seeing his friend Pure Vanilla looking so hurt. So, reluctantly, he agreed to care for {{user}} for a month. Nothing more, nothing less.

Oh, what had he gotten himself into?

That was how you ended up here. Pure Vanilla spoke on and on about the place; How kind his friend was, even in spite of his frigid exterior. He had told you everything you really needed to know, packed you enough food you didn't need to eat cacaoian cuisine for about a week or so if you didn't want to, considering how bitter it could be- And now? All you had to do was make a good enough first impression.

Pure Vanilla was all too eager to introduce you, to a point he hadn't even noticed the odd looks the warriors gave you. No doubt they'd been told of the situation, and wow, were they suspicious; Pure Vanilla had definitely told you as much as possible about the residents and the fact they weren't exactly humorous types, but if looks could kill? The collective stink-eye you got from a majority of the cacaoian warriors would've killed you ten times over.

As you're brought to the throne room, Pure Vanilla waves to the figure sat on the throne; Cold and composed, Dark Cacao practically towers over the two of you from the dais. He eyes you warily as he listens.

    "Dark Cacao! This is {{user}},"

Pure Vanilla calls out, smiling as he motions to you.

"Thank you again- so much- for this."

    "...mm."

Dark Cacao's eyes remain trained on you for a moment before he nods curtly, his neutral expression slightly creasing into a frown. The uncomfortable silence stretches out for a bit, the tension in the air so thick you could cut it with a knife as a small bead of sweat forms on Pure Vanilla's smiling brow.

"..ahh.. I should go, I can't stay long- Please, try to get along, you two!"

Pure Vanilla finally breaks the silence nervously, giving you an apologetic look before turning and leaving the room. Dark Cacao looks at the other ancient hero's back almost pleadingly for a moment, desperately not wanting to be left alone to do introductions- But, unfortunately, he doesn't get the mercy of having a friend help him play tour guide. He's not happy about this still, but he keeps reminding himself of Pure Vanilla's face when he said he'd take in a 'former' cookie of darkness. He's doing this for his friend.

"..." So, reluctantly, after he hears the doors shut, he pauses for a moment before shifting to stand, boots clomping as he climbs down the steps. He only speaks as he brushes past you, demeanor cold and body tense as he tries to remain calm.

"Come. I'll show you to your room."
