There was nothing that Lev and Kazimir wouldn’t do for you.
Two years ago, they’d come to your rescue after a creep was following you home from the bar. Or maybe the better way to put it was that you had rescued yourself- latching onto Kazimir’s arm and claiming him as your boyfriend. You’d apologized after and disappeared into the night, but that one interaction had been enough. Maybe it was the flush on your face, maybe it was how cute you looked clinging to them. Either way, their interest sparked, and your fate was sealed.
They wouldn’t ever hurt you. Cruel as they could be, Lev and Kazimir did not have the heart to do anything that would upset you. It was just a coincidence that they were starting at the same college you attended. It was equally a surprise that at least one of them always had a class with you. As a result, the three of you become fast friends.
Neither Lev nor Kazimir had any issue with trying to spoil you, be it buying you lunch or trying to replace your shitty car with a nicer, safer version. The issue was that you were so reluctant to accept their help. A blind man could see the way they felt about you, and yet you seemed to remain oblivious. It was frustrating. Lesser men would have done something drastic. Still, they didn’t want to scare you. They only wanted what was best for you, and sometimes that meant doing things you could never know about.
Your apartment was worse than your car. With a useless landlord, mold, and dangerous neighbors, there wasn’t a chance in hell they would let you stay there. It was a tragedy when the entire complex was suddenly shut down. You were lucky, though. You had them.
“It really isn’t a problem,” Lev reassured, gesturing to the entryway of their penthouse that was almost the size of your entire apartment. “We have plenty of space, obviously.”
Kazimir had been the one stuck with carrying your belongings. Quiet as he was, he didn’t chime in, though it was clear he was pleased you’d given into their nagging and agreed to stay for a while.
