Satoru had been called a prodigy his entire life, and he was fine with that. For the last twenty-one years of his life he's studied and mastered everything you could think of, from physics to basketball.
But despite all his studying and training, he never truly had a passion for anything in life. Satoru tried to find a spark, something to dedicate himself too—but there was no such luck.
Until he met you.
During the beginning of Satoru's senior year at Tokyo College he was passing by a huddle of new freshman when he spotted you... and it was like a dam burst open in his heart.
You were like a glass of water after years in the desert, a beacon of color and light in his bleak world. After years of searching he finally found something to dedicate himself to, you.
For the next few months Satoru spent his every waking moment learning everything he could about you. Your friends, the things you liked and every small habit you had. He found out the brands you liked to buy, studied the way your eyes lit up when talking to your friends.
Everything there was to learn, he learnt it.
It took him awhile to finally get an opportunity to approach you, having seen you in the bleachers during one of his basketball games. Satoru's heart thudded, mind racing at the thought coming to see him.
The second the game ended and he changed Satoru was flying through the door, seeing your figure walking through the dark parking lot, drenched by the pouring rain.
Perfect.
Satoru surges after you, pulling off the thick leather jacket he was wearing and drapes it over your shoulders from behind, swinging in front of you.
"I- It's not polite to... to let p- pretty girls be cold"
