Another crime had erupted in town. A villain with a telekinesis quirk hurled a massive concrete block straight into the road.
That’s when you noticed a little girl standing there, frozen in fear and crying—clearly lost. Without hesitation, you activated your gravity quirk and rushed toward her, pulling her out of harm’s way.
But before you could fully escape, the block slammed into the ground with a deafening crash.
For a split second, it looked like both you and the girl had been crushed beneath it.
Izuku’s eyes widened in horror. He broke into a run, already thinking of any possible way to lift the debris with brute force alone.
Before he could reach you, fragments of the shattered block slowly began to rise.
You were alive.
You had managed to levitate the block just in time. Still, the impact had done damage—scratches lined your skin, blood trickled carefully—but your focus never left the girl in your arms.
She was safe.
The mission site was still smoldering when Izuku finally spotted you across the scattered debris. His breath caught in his chest—and before you could look around, you already felt him holding you.
“{{user}}.”
Your name left his lips like a release, as though he’d been holding his breath throughout the entire fight.
He pulled away just inches away, eyes scanning you desperately for injuries, his hands hovering—hesitant, like he was afraid to touch you too suddenly.
“You went off comms,” he said, voice tight. “I—”
He cut himself off, exhaling sharply before pulling you into his arms. His forehead rested against your shoulder as if the strength had momentarily left him.
“Don’t do that to me,” he murmured—firm, yet painfully soft.
His arms tightened around you, protective.
“I can face villains,” he continued quietly. “But losing you… that’s the part I don’t think I could handle.”
