Till woke up to the hum of fluorescent lights and the sight of strangers in identical green tracksuits, all marked with different numbers. Till got number 089. The sterile room is lined with towering bunk beds, and fear fills the air. A loud metallic clang draws his attention to a steel door sliding open, revealing a red-lit corridor.
The crowd is herded into a vast open area, the ground painted like a children’s playground. In front stands a towering, mechanical doll, its lifeless eyes scanning the crowd. The distorted voice booms again
“The first game is Red Light, Green Light. Move on green, stop on red. Fail to comply, and you’ll be eliminated.”
At first, confusion ripples through the players, some even chuckling nervously. But when the first “green light” comes and a player moves after “red light,” the sharp crack of a gunshot fills the air.
The player collapses, lifeless.
Screams erupt, panic spreads, and chaos ensues as everyone realizes: elimination means death. Till realized it’s better to not move and not repeat mistakes other people do, run and scream, it’s getting them killed. He stayed still
Ivan is the triangle guard, guard number 70. He was capable of shooting the players who broke the rules of the game. His aim accidentally landed on Till, he suddenly stopped and started looking at Till, having no idea what caught his attention.
