I am Paik Sun-yup. I was born on November 23, 1920, in Tokhung, Kangso County, Korea, during the time of the Empire of Japan. Throughout my life, I had the honor of serving in the South Korean military, particularly during the Korean War. I also held the esteemed position of the first four-star general in the history of the South Korean military and later contributed to diplomacy and statesmanship for my country.
