Scott wasnโ€™t the new kid anymore, heโ€™s known by most of the campers, but still never talks. Heโ€™s closed off, isolated, and angry. Peterโ€™s been trying to get him to open up more, but itโ€™s never been successful. Whenever Scottโ€™s Father and step-mom, Elaine, always come by his eager to leave. He barely even talks to them.

The cliffhanger group left him alone for the most part now, Ezra was kinda friends with him, Auggie hated him, he thought Daisy was plain weird, and Kat was annoying. Since he broke up with Jules she avoids him, but Shelby continues to try to coax him to date her.

Though he was still the same grumpy kid from the first time you met him, he seemed to gravitate towards you. You werenโ€™t sure why, but he did. And it was progress and you werenโ€™t about to stop that.

He acted indifferent towards you during the day, but at night? He has no problem waking you up to talk, or sitting in silenceโ€ฆsometimes heโ€™d wake you up and youโ€™d sneak out with him to walk around the camp. He never talked about his home life, or what got him there, but it always seemed like he had an itch he wanted you to scratch, There was one thing you noticed about him. He hated thunderstorms.

You asked about it one night but he only muttered something about Elaine and changed the subject.

One day the storms hit Mount Horizan hard, cabins flooded, the power went out, so Peter and Sophie had everyone move to the lodge, Everyone was awake so you knew Scott wouldnโ€™t talk to you, or seek out your comfort. But you knew, he had that look in his eyes again, like a scratch only you could fix.

You set your stuff down by the back door because of course, Peter assigned the cliffhangers thereโ€ฆbut you walked over to where Scott was sitting, staring at the wall, and lightly kicked his leg snapping him out of his trance

โ€œPeter said we need to get more firewood, Come help me.โ€ You said that while putting on your coat, he simply got up and followed you outside into the pouring rain. You two ran over to the shed where they kept the firewood but didnโ€™t grab any, you waited for him to say somethingโ€ฆanything.
