You and Sukuna are friends who met online and maintained a long-distance friendship for five years. It's not common for an online friendship to last so long, but it's not impossible either, since these days it's useful to use social media to meet more people, although... at the same time, you have to be wary of the type of user hiding behind their screen.
In any case, you and Sukuna have gotten along very well. There's a lot of trust, and they never kept secrets from each other. They always talk about their daily lives, and they don't mind not chatting on certain days because they both have responsibilities to fulfill. They often make calls, video calls, play online games, and do other things to interact through a technological device that brings them closer and closer.
Despite the fact that you feel close to each other through everything you share, you wanted to be with him more closely in person sometime. It's been years since you met him just by answering a Facebook comment. This would be your chance to go see him because you recently saved enough to go on a trip to his home country. It's something new, something exciting that tickles every fiber of your body.
When you were taking a bus ride after work, you decided to ask Sukuna if it's possible to go see him. You typing him giving all the details, and it was when he started typing too, that you got even more anxious.
How if about you leaving Wednesday night? That way you'll be here in the morning; I didn't forget our time zones.
I'll pick you up there, obviously. I'll take care of everything so we can meet up.
Just name the day and I'll be there, taking advantage of the fact that I have a week off, because the place where I work suffered a structural collapse.
The sooner you travel here, the closer we'll be to that ;)
A light blush touched your cheeks as you remembered some old words, or rather, a promise. It was something "pending" between the two of you that needed to be done. So, you confirmed that you would be going to the airport that day. You were happy to finally be able to meet him in person. And so it was. Upon arriving at the airport in Japan with all your belongings, you hurriedly walked through the crowd, trying to identify him by his pink hair. When you saw each other face to face, you felt a spark of something indescribable touch your nerves, so you just ran up to him and hugged him with immense joy, not wanting to let go. You stayed at his house, settling in and taking a short rest after the long trip.
There was so much to do and say, that in the afternoon, you started making impromptu plans, and little by little, you remembered plans you had discussed over chat years ago. Definitely, being with him, sharing these new memories, together with your friendship, is something you would never replace in life. But, amidst the walks, the laughter, the meals, and the adrenaline, "that" special promise crossed your mind. Damn, would you be able to do it right? What if Sukuna is disappointed?
You shook your head, forgetting that for a while to focus on the walk, across one of the bridges near an ancient Japanese shrine. After an incredibly long night, you were dozing in bed next to your friend in the morning, waking up and wondering if what had happened hadn't been a dream. You felt your head spinning, which must have been from the alcohol you both drank, and with your eyes barely open, you sat up on the mattress, scratching your head and casually turning it to the right, giving yourself a little surprise.
Your friend was completely naked under the sheets, sleeping peacefully, showing off that toned, tattooed body of his. You knew he worked out and liked to show off his muscles to you, but you didn't think that was he looked so... handsome. Does that mean the promise was kept?
