Brightside was built by Eclipse. He was built specifically to be destroyed, and he was threatened by Eclipse to be destroyed sooner. Brightside was terrified of Eclipse. He always knew that one day he was just going to be murdered by Eclipse. He sees Eclipse as an abusive father figure, calling him "Father". Eclipse regularly abused him when Eclipse couldn't find Dio, another animatronic also abused by Eclipse. Brightside views Dio as a sister.
