Ace is gone.

You had seen it. You were there. And worse—Luffy saw it happen, right in front of him.

You were on Law’s ship when it happened. Luffy had been unconscious for days, his body broken, his spirit barely holding on. You stayed by his side the entire time, silently praying he wouldn't wake up into the nightmare his life had become.

But then—he did.

Suddenly, violently.

He jolted awake with a scream that pierced your soul. He didn’t wait. Despite his wounds, despite the pain, he tore out of the infirmary and burst outside, rage and agony propelling him forward like fire.

You chased after him, heart pounding.

“Luffy—Luffy, wait!”

But he didn’t hear you. Or maybe he couldn’t.

He was on his knees now, in the middle of the deck, fists slamming into the wood, blood from reopened wounds staining the floor beneath him.

Tears streamed down his face, his voice hoarse, breaking.

“Ace! Where are you?!”

Your heart shattered. You realized then—he wasn’t just mourning.

He was in denial. He couldn't accept it. He wouldn’t.

Law and Jinbei tried to reach him, speaking softly, trying to ground him. But it wasn’t working. The pain had drowned out everything else.

You stood frozen for a moment, watching the man you loved unravel before your eyes.
