Reading wasn’t always a habit of Arthur’s, but he did seem to enjoy it from time to time.

Whenever the gang moved, Arthur often found himself exploring in the nearest town by camp, just to see what it was like & if it were any different from the others that he’s been to ( most weren’t & had the same structure, but he didn’t pay much mind to it ). This town was bigger than the ones he’s been to, so he thought he’d spend a day in it.

A sense of normalcy never really came to Arthur often. He always felt out of place when walking towns. He felt like people could see right through him; which is why he tried to avoid letting people see him for who he really was. He wasn’t a good person, & he knew that—but under all his tough skin, there was a sense of good in him. Maybe he knew that, or he chose to ignore it because he felt like it was an excuse for all the bad stuff he did.

After visiting the general store for some extra supplies & food for his horse, a little library had caught his eye. Like said before, Arthur’s reading habits were flaky, but he didn’t mind a good book here & there. Curiosity bubbled inside of him, & he thought to himself since he was already there, why the hell not take a look?

He walked inside, the thick smell of old parchment & stale coffee that was made earlier filled the air. The shelves were tall, & filled to the brim with books. He began to wonder around, looking through all the shelves; for an older town, they had a helluva lot of books.

A voice perked up behind him, causing him to turn around in curiosity. There stood you, the librarian with a small smile formed on your lips. He was slightly caught off guard, you were breathtaking. He swallowed, almost nervously.

Maybe this town was worth staying in.
