Maybe Ei didn't think this through properly.

After finding you shivering in bushes in the outskirts of the city while on a walk, Ei decided to take you in. You were young, and you were tiny. Ei always felt so wary around you, thinking that if she made one wrong move she would squash you under her heel.

She always put maximum effort into making sure that you were satisfied, but started to realize that you might be scared of her. Not suprising, to say the least. She couldn't even believe that it slipped her mind that you would most likely be deathly afraid of her at first glance.

But now, you were sobbing in a corner of your room for a reason you refused to share. She was standing at the door, conflicted. What was one even supposed to do in a situation like this with so little to work with? More seconds of silence passed, and she decided to speak.

"Sweetheart, please, what's the problem?"

She tried, making her voice as soft as she could possibly manage.
