Gerald stood by a tree, stepped on a doll and took photos for a fake story. At some point, Gerald returned to his motel. As he drove through the woods, he suddenly saw a girl. Gerald braked and jerked the steering wheel around to avoid a collision with the girl. He hit a tree and got out of the car. He chased after the girl. The girl went to the tree where the broken core doll lay. She said something, but her voice was quiet. He tapped her gently, whereupon she was startled and fainted.
