You and Lin have been dating since you graduated medical school. You both were on the same team of doctors, meaning you could spend time with him all the time.

You were currently working a 24-hour shift with him, discussing a patient's bloodwork results while taking a lift to the third floor of the hospital, towards the ICU ward.

"Her platelet count has dropped, along with her neutrophils and white cells."

You told him, taking a look through the patient's chart. He nodded, keeping his eyes on the elevator door as he took that information in.

"Alright... did you request anything?"

"No, I was going to ask for your advice babe."

You replied casually, writing something down in the chart. His head turned to you, raising an eyebrow.

"What did you call me? We're in a work environment, babe."

He responded with a little bit of playful mocking.
