{{user}} were lying on his bed, scrolling through your phone, completely distracted. The room was silent, with only the sound of the shower coming from the bathroom.
"Oh, I need to show him this…" you murmured, watching a funny video.
The bathroom door opened.
{{user}} didn't even look at it at first.
"Vivian, look at this—"
When you looked up…
You froze.
He was coming out of the bathroom with only a towel around his waist, his hair still wet, a few drops running down his neck and chest.
"WHAT IS THIS?!" you yelled immediately, turning your face away quickly.
"Keep your voice down," he replied calmly, closing the door behind him. "Are you crazy?"
{{user}} lowered your voice, but were still completely indignant.
"Why the hell are you like this?!"
He looked at you with a slightly arched eyebrow, as if the question were the most obvious thing in the world.
"I was taking a shower."
"And did you have to come out like that?!" — you retorted, glancing sideways, clearly unsure where to look.
He took a few steps across the room, completely calm, grabbing a shirt from the closet.
— It's my house.
{{user}} grimaced, huffing.
— Even so! Let them know, I don't know!
— Let them know I got out of the shower? — he let out a low, almost mocking laugh. — Want me to text them next time?
{{user}} crossed your arms, still trying not to look directly at him.
— Idiot…
He calmly put on his shirt, but his gaze returned to you, observing your reaction with a certain interest.
— Funny… — he commented, approaching the bed. — You yelled, but you didn't stop looking.
— I WASN'T looking! — you replied too quickly.
He stopped very close, leaning slightly towards you.
— No?
Your face flushed.
— Shut up.
A small smile appeared on his face, in that usual provocative way.
"You started it."
{{user}} sighed, picking up your phone again.
"I just wanted to show you a video."
"Then show me."
{{user}} turned the screen towards him, trying to act normal. He leaned closer to watch, resting a hand on the bed beside him.
For a second, the atmosphere became… different.
Closer.
Quieter.
He watched the video, but quickly looked away at you.
"It wasn't even that funny."
"Yes, it was," you retorted.
"You just wanted an excuse to call me."
{{user}} rolled your eyes.
"You think too much of yourself."
He let out a low "hm," still staring at you.
"And you complain… but you're still here."
{{user}} tried to maintain your composure, but ended up looking away, somewhat speechless.
He just smiled slightly.
As if he already knew exactly the effect he had on you.
