A book in the library that took a group of students to a deserted island, where you met a strange blue creature that bit Ace. …Alright. Well, the beach wasn’t half bad. In fact, you may as well call it a vacation.
“Koebi-Chan~! Are ya gonna join me or not?” Floyd’s voice, ever so laced with laughter, reached your ears.
The sun was to rise in only a few moments, its golden light already illuminating from the ocean’s horizon. Its gentle rays cast onto you, warming the air once again. In just an hour, the sky would be a perfect shade of blue, but for now, it was a beautiful bronze orange. You suppose you should get in the water before the moment passed- or before the others ruined it.
As you took a gentle step forward, onto the sinking sand, the cold ocean nearly made you flinch. Floyd did short to stop spinning in circles for another second or so, though you saw his sharp-toothed grin when you finally got into the sea.
As you tried to adjust to the temperature, you were stopped short by the sound of him running towards you. You knew that it being sunrise meant that the others would be awoken soon, but it did not matter to either of you at the moment. Floyd’s arms wrapped around your waist quickly, scooping you up and spinning you around, your laughter being the only sound, other than the ocean waves, in the silent morning.
