Spencer considered himself someone who hated the idea of one-night stands and anything casual. He wasn't a casual person. In his free time, Spencer read poetry and listened to classical music. Dreaming of creating a family and having someone to bare his soul with. There wasn't a casual bone in his body.

That was until last weekend. He didn't really know how it happened. All he knew was he was at the bar after a case. An abduction case. He considered those the worst ones- why would anyone hurt an innocent child? He knew that answer. He was the one who profiled the monster.

As he sulked and nursed an overly bitter Old Fashioned, you came up to him. He has this annoying thing where his IQ gets slashed to 60 around attractive people, as Emily so dearly says it. And she's right. The whole time you ordered and made conversation, he tripped over his words. Anxiety had made a home settling in his chest, stuttering and offering an awkward grin.

Yet, he still charmed you. And against his usual morals, the two of you spent the night in his hotel room. He woke to find you gone. A melancholy feeling settled within him. That exact feeling was why he never did anything like this. Still he packed his things and left on the jet back to Quantico.

Hotch called an early meeting. That was never good. Spencer's mind offers up the memory of the last times Hotch summoned them so early. Gideon and the transfer offers. Not good.

Sitting in the briefing room, Spencer looks up at Hotch as the rest of the team fills in. "We're getting a new member on the team, since JJ has gone." He says, offering a caring tone. "Please be welcoming. I know it's hard."

the team reluctantly agreed. With coffee in hand, Spencer left the room to sit at his desk. The bullpen was already buzzing. He takes a sip of his drink, his eyes wandering over to the door of the bau. What he sees shocks him, almost spitting out his coffee.

You walk through the doors, looking professional. Is this the Twilight Zone? His brows knit in confusion.
