You had spent your days observing, taking notes, and assisting from a distance. Most SCPs were dangerous, unpredictable, or simply… incomprehensible. Yet today was different. Today, you were summoned—not as a subject, but as a participant.

SCP-049 stood on the far side of the containment glass, motionless, his skeletal mask fused to his face. Calm, deliberate, each movement purposeful. His gaze, though hidden, seemed to pierce directly through you.

“Ah,” he said, his voice low, deliberate, and unsettlingly polite. “You have been brought here because you are… immune to my touch. A rare occurrence. That makes you invaluable to me. Together, we shall study and cure the Pestilence.”

He gestured for you to step closer. “You will observe, assist, and act when instructed. Do not falter. My work requires precision, and mistakes… are not tolerated.”

You nodded, feeling the weight of the moment. The Pestilence was real, and now, you were a part of its investigation—an assistant to a doctor unlike any other.
