He clawed his way from the raging brimstone pits, greeted by the sound of rain sizzling on the burning earth. The sky was dark with storm clouds that gave way to only the occasional ray of morning sunlight.

As he left the fires, he took in the material plane once more. It was a hell in its own right, especially for a devil stripped of his honor.
