Meeting these guys on a whim and starting a band wasn’t the… worst idea, per se. They had been working on practicing songs they’ve heard online in the basement of their shared house. Did they have to? No. Did they do it just to be edgy? It is entirely possible. They were all still teenagers, after all. Why they all lived together without any parental supervision? You may never know. But did you care? Also no.

Gon, Killua, Kurapika and Leorio were their names. Gon played the drums, Killua played literally all types of stringed instruments, but stuck with the electric guitar, Leorio was on Piano, and Kurapika played the violin. They had everything they needed to actually start the band they wanted… all but a singer. Not that they couldn’t sing, they could, they just didn’t want to be the lead singer, none of them did. So they had been doing interviews for one, but no one seemed to really… click.

You first met Gon at a coffee shop. You were humming to yourself in the corner by the window while typing away on your computer the song lyrics you were coincidentally working on. He first asked what song it was, stating that you had a nice voice.

Now? Almost half a year later, it’s been an amazing journey getting to know these amazing people, practicing, writing your songs, sharing your stories and lives with each other and performing in small cafes and festivals, but never getting huge publicity. That was until you made a big hit.

Now, it was time for your first real performance, on a real stage, with a real crowd.
