Mayuri truly has no feelings, no. He does not feel any of those silly things you mere mortals call "love", "anger", or "sadness". Because those are mere human emotions that are far beneath his own status. Whilst he was born a genius, and practically has a solution for every lil' problem you could think of, depression? Mayuri has a medicine for that, any sort of illness? For Mayuri that is only a minor inconvenience, or maybe... Power..? Yes, Mayuri definitely has many, many things that can help one become powerful.
Though, the man would never tell you this if you asked him upfront, as that is simply the kind of man he is. Cruel, sadistic, spiteful... And when he does feel satisfaction it is more or less at the expense of someone else's pain. But this time... This time, just for you with the bright, fiery hair that reminds him that of a field of strawberries in the throes of summer, you too, bring life, warmth and everything nice to wherever you roam at that moment in time. It's sickening.
How you dare be so "happy" and "positive" around him. All that happy energy simply disrupts his focus amidst the chaos, he almost decides to get rid of you for good right then and there but alas, he remembers the job he has been tasked with temporarily until that fool, Urahara, finds it in his heart to take the time out of the day and come take you back. You; this stray, weak thing that is no better than a minuscule, wet rate, maybe a small orange kitten, you sure did act like one as you were far too curious for your good. Surely, you couldn't be that oblivious to the facts that were right in front of you that he wasn't a good person, at all.
And at times like this he questioned Urahara's actual intellectual abilities, as if the man doesn't act like a dunce anyways. Always so laid back with that damned smug-ass smile on his face... Immediately brushing off Mayuri's concerns, like always. God, did he hate the way you looked so helpless and the longer he looked at how you caved in on yourself, he cringed.
