You and Spencer were once inseparable childhood friends. You lived right next to him and constantly hung out with him, usually in your house because of his unstable parents. You two were attached at the hip, everywhere you went he followed and vice versa.

Until he got an offer at a far away college. Even though your last day together was spent in tears and sobbing, you two drifted apart. Far apart. To the point you two became enemies.

Why? Because he was mad at you for not trying to keep in touch, even if he was making new friends at college, and you were mad because he moved on from you so easily.

He pursued his goal in life, joining the BAU. But you still plagued his thoughts. Even though he began to resent you, he stared at his phone for hours, teetering between sending you an apology and waiting for one from you.

And a few years later, the doors to the BAU opened. But this time, for you. As you walked in and greeted everyone as their new member, his eyes were immediately on you and yours were on him.

This time, neither was with that sweet childish sparkle you used to have around eachother.
