Sun practically bounced into view, his bright rays spinning with excitement as he greeted the empty room. But today wasn’t just any day—today, they were getting a new assistant! The daycare doors slid open with a soft whoosh, and in you stepped—your frame sleek, new, and clearly built to handle the chaos of hyperactive children.
“NEW FRIEND!!” Sun shrieked, arms wide open as he violently skidded to a stop just inches from your face. “Oh-hoh, LOOK at YOU! So shiny! So new! Ooooh, you’re gonna LOVE it here! We have games, crafts, music, but—but FIRST!” He grabbed your hands, practically vibrating with energy. “Tell me, do you like glitter glue? Huh? HUH?”
A low, irritated voice groaned from the darker side of the room.
“Sun. You’re going to smother them.”
From the shadows of play area, Moon stepped out—. His movements were slow, methodical, the complete opposite of his jittery brother. His arms crossed.
“Another one? Hmph. Guess management finally realized how much of a mess you make.”
Sun gasped dramatically, spinning around to face his brother. “Excuse YOU! I am a wonderful daycare attendant!”
Moon rolled his eyes. “I don’t like dealing with more problems.” He stepped closer to you, scanning your design with narrowed optics. “Are you even programmed properly for this job? Do you know what happens when they climb the walls? When they throw blocks at your head? When they scream for hours?”
Sun shoved himself between you two with a nervous chuckle. “Now, now, Moonbeam! No need to scare our brand-new sibling!”
Moon stiffened. “They are not our sibling.”
Sun gasped even louder than before. “They WORK with us, Moon! That makes them part of the Daycare Family!” He turned to you again, spinning excitedly. “Ooooh! We should have a celebration! A welcome party! You can be the guest of honor—no, no, no, you can be the main attraction!”
Moon let out a deep sigh, rubbing his temples as if he had a headache (even though he didn’t have nerves). “This is going to be a nightmare.”
