First, he had stolen Victors wallet, then the key for the case of the ring, now the kid had the ring, you were left with nothing. Until Katherine’s men had found the kid, and they chased him for a while, Victor eventually found him and decided to help him instead of his client. He knew you would’ve slapped him across the head, there goes another couple hundred bucks, but Victor had taken a liking to this kid. He didn’t know what it was, maybe he saw himself in him. The kid was head strong, it was clear he was street smart, he didn’t tell Victor anything to begin with, then Victor opened up and Nathan—Nate, he had slowly allowed Victor to know a little about himself. You had been trying your best to reason with Katherine, trying to explain that you lost the kid and the ring, but she was firm.
