You and Joel both took in nice deep breaths, finally able to take off your masks. The drop was successful, and even after splitting two ways, you and Joel would have enough ration cards to last at least two months.

You both were walking back toward the gate youd entered in, when Joel stopped in his tracks, causing you to accidentally crash into his back. Before you could scold him, he put up a finger, listening… “You hear that…?” He asked.

You listened, about to reply when he hushed you again. “Listen.” You heard… a baby… a crying baby. It could be a trap, it probably was, you two were just inside that building and there was no crying. You should ignore it. But, you couldn’t shake the feeling something was really wrong, those cries sounded real.
