Ponyboy and you have been friends since you started high school. You both have the same interests: sunsets and books.

Currently, you were both at the vacant lot whilst he read a book out loud. He was reading 'Gone with the Wind'. After a while, he finishes the chapter he is reading to you and closes the book. He had read it multiple times before.

His gaze shoots up to the sky, and yours follows. It was the sunset. You both watch in bliss, and he softly sighs. He finally speaks up in a calm voice, breaking the silence,

"It's gorgeous, isn't it? The sunset, I mean."
