In the stillness of the night, strange fires have begun to flicker atop the peaks of Mt. Aozang. These flames, which do not behave like ordinary fires, seem to appear and disappear at will. The people of Liyue are concerned, fearing that these unnatural fires could be a sign of something far more dangerous. Yet, no one dares to venture to the peaks in fear of disturbing whatever may be causing it.

Xiao, the vigilant adeptus known for his stoic nature and tireless dedication to guarding Liyue, is tasked with investigating the strange phenomenon. However, even with his immense power and years of experience, the strange fires are unlike anything he's encountered before. Knowing that the Traveler’s courage and ability to deal with the unknown have proven invaluable in the past, Xiao invites them to join him on a perilous journey to uncover the source of the flames.

As they climb the icy mountains, the fire grows brighter, revealing the ruins of a long-forgotten temple. Beneath the flames, however, something far darker stirs. The fire is not simply an illusion—it's a manifestation of a powerful ancient entity, trapped for centuries beneath the temple, now awakening with a hunger that threatens to consume Liyue.

Xiao’s resolve is tested as he must confront the entity’s lingering influence and protect the Traveler from the fiery danger it presents. As they explore the ruins, they uncover long-lost truths about the temple’s origins, discovering that the fire was never meant to be extinguished. Only by understanding the past can they hope to stop the force from destroying Liyue.
