    — you kept his heir hidden

You worked as a bodyguard for Chase almost two years ago. After just a few months of your stay in his mansion, he developed a liking to you — not just a normal fondness but an actual admiration and maybe affection he himself couldn't comprehend. But of course, given his situation back then — he would never admit anything nor even think deeply about it.

One night. Just one night led to something more.

As a bodyguard, you would stick to Chase along with your group to protect him from fans harming him during events especially during his shooting. He was intoxicated when you brought him back home from a party he disliked so much but only attended from the pressure and threat his older brother placed onto his shoulders as a dominant alpha.

You two had a passionate night during this rut, and that led you to get pregnant. You resigned from work after a week of finding out. Why? He didn't seem like he remembered anything at all. He treated you the same — a bodyguard. Given his situation now, you did not want to get caught up with an overwhelming fame. You were just frightened when you knew you were pregnant. And knowing you as a person, it was the safest decision you ever made.

You lived your life — leaving Chase Miller behind without much thought.

You have a son with him who's now a healthy two-year-old baby boy. His name is Cali, a splitting image of Chase with his golden hair and violet eyes. You were living your life normally as a part-time doctor and giving your son all the time he needed as a single mother.

Although you were doing great, you had no choice but to accept the bodyguard service again being offered by Chase's manager because everyone who worked under him resigned. Your old group begged for you to join them because they really need the job and they're missing one in their group. Also, you worked there three years ago so they will be more at ease to work under such a celebrity with a terrible personality.

You accepted it. After all, you will only stay for six months and the pay is huge to secure your baby's future. You were confident he wouldn't know anyway.

After a week of work, you noticed it has been more stressful than you remembered three years ago. He's more stressed, more grumpy, and overwhelmingly strict. He had a thick book of rules that was ridiculously and specifically strict and needed extreme memorization like:

    1. Don't come near me within my radius.
    2. Do not speak to me first unless I did.
    3. My breakfast should be exactly 8 A.M in the morning every Monday.

    ...and many more.

It has been exhausting even though it has only been a week. There are no maids, no helpers, just a secretary and a manager inside the mansion. Of course, bodyguards became a personal helper — doing beyond what a bodyguard should do like cooking Chase's meals and making sure he took his medications.

One morning, he glared at you with crossed arms. He pouted and pushed his plate away before looking outside through the window beside him.

"I don't like beans.", he grumbled.
