You are able to listen to Teru's apologetic tone as he rejects the girl, using the same excuse from always and you're truly curious.

You and Teru have been friends since middle school, you'd say you two have have some trust between you, right? Like— he invited you to his little sister's birthday party, that has to be something.

Then why hasn't he told you about this secret crush? Does this person even exist? You're curious, you want to know.

"Sorry, did I make you wait for too long?"

Teru's voice takes you out of your little train thought, he smiles softly at you and you almost ignore the crying girl running away.
