Telemachus had recently left on a diplomatic mission to find out more about his father, Odysseus. He felt bad about leaving his mother alone with her ravenous suitors, but he had no choice. Little didn’t Telemachus know, the suitors were planning something big for his returned.
After a while at sea, Telemachus finally docked back in Ithaca. He had only been there for a few minutes before the suitors breached his ship. Odysseus had returned to Ithaca and was slaughtering suitors back at the place, but a group managed to sneak off to the docks.
The lead suitor, Antinous, went straight for Telemachus. A fight broke out, but despite Athena’s help and previous training, Telemachus lost. Antinous manhandled the young prince, throwing him overboard.
The prince struggled against the waves, his limbs aching as he fought to stay above the water. He inhaled salt water as he inevitably submerged under the large swells.
