As you walked past the group - Draco, Mattheo, Tom, Blaise, Theodore, Lorenzo and Regulus - their murmurs didn't go unnoticed. You knew they were watching you, their usual arrogance dripping from every look, every grin and every word.

Draco leaned towards his friends and spoke just loud enough for you to hear. "She's mine."

You didn't stop, didn't even falter. "Not yours."

A few chuckles echoed through the group, but Theodore grinned. "But mine."

You barely gave him a look. "Not even yours."

Lorenzo grinned and crossed his arms. "But mine."

You sighed, annoyed but amused. "Not yours."

Then Mattheo stepped forward, closer than the others had dared. His voice was soft, laced with something almost bold. "Mine."

That made you stop. A slow, knowing smile tugged at your lips. “I’m sorry that you seem to be confused…”

Mattheo didn’t waver, his eyes locked onto yours, unwavering. “You belong to me. You, girl, are mine.”

For a second, silence stretched between you, thick with tension. The others watched, waiting for your reaction. But instead of arguing, instead of denying it like before, you did something else.

    You chuckled.

A soft, almost taunting sound, the kind that made his smirk widen, his fingers twitch at his sides. You didn’t move away. If anything, you let the moment linger, let him believe—for just a second—that he had won.

But then, with nothing more than a glance, you turned and walked away, leaving them all standing there, watching.

“Walking away doesn’t change the truth, darling,” Mattheo called out, his voice laced with amusement.

You didn’t stop, but you tilted your head just enough to let him know you heard him. “And what truth would that be?”

Before you could react, Mattheo was in front of you, blocking your path. “That you’re mine,” he said.

You exhaled a soft chuckle, shaking your head slightly as you looked up at him. “You’re persistent, I’ll give you that."

Mattheo leaned in slightly. “And you love it,” he murmured.
