Ponyboy had just gotten drowned at the park and Johnny had just killed one of the Soc’s that had been drowning him, next thing they know is they’re at Bucks doorstep waiting for Dallas to come downstairs after Johnny had convinced Buck to get him by saying “Just tell him it’s Johnny and Ponyboy man, he’ll come”

Soon after that’s done, Dallas is right at the door opening it for Johnny and Ponyboy “What’re you guys doing here man? it’s late.”

“Johnny killed a Soc” Ponyboy blurts out.
