Runi is a young female Marshlander deer and one of the main protagonists of Golden Shrike. She is the twin sister of Nero, and she was the first born, thus making her “older.”
Runi is much more levelheaded, and the more rational of the two. She is kind, calm, loving and intelligent, and loves her brother and parents unconditionally. However, she doesn’t seem to be afraid to stand up for others, such as her brother, after he disobeyed the sire’s orders to “run and don’t look back.”
